Bhandardara

Bhandardara is about 185 kms from Mumbai. 45 kms from Igatpuri.
Reaching there:
Rail: Train till Igatpuri. ST Buses, Jeeps from Igatpuri 2.45 hrs to Igatpuri. 1 hour from Igatpuri.
Road: Mumbai - Nashik highway, till Ghoti (about 6 kms from Igatpuri). Take a right at Ghoti. 3 hours to Ghoti. 1 hour from Ghoti.
Accomodation: MTDC Resort and a couple of small hotels in Shendi Village.
What to do? Breath fresh air. Walk around. Lush green and stunning views sorround you all along.
Bhandardara lake (Wilson dam & Arthur Lake). Randh Water falls (about 11 km from Bandardhara). Ratanghad Fort (about 22 km by road or by crossing the dam by boat). Kalsubai (5400 ft high), the highest peak in Sahyadri is on the way to Bhandardara.

HI , I am Sanjeev. Hope I am not troubling you. My wife and me too wanted to visit Bhandardara. Just wondering ig you can help us know about the accomodations at bhandardara other than MTDC , Anandvan which are full . I heard about Parsi bunglows. Are they OK to stay.

Hi..Nice post. Bhandardara can be visited during anytime of the year, though it looks lovely in monsoons with rain soaked trees. Check out these hotels in Bhandardara.
